Honorable William E. Brock, III

William Brock III began his career in public service after graduating from Washington and Lee University and serving three years in the U.S. Navy. Upon discharge, he worked as vice president in his family's business until 1962, when he was elected to the House of Representatives from the third congressional district of Tennessee. After four terms in office, he won a seat in the Senate and then become chair of the Republican National Committee. During Ronald Reagan's presidency, Brock served as U.S. trade representative and U.S. secretary of labor. He is now chairman emeritus of the National Endowment for Democracy.
