Sandra Hernandez, M.D.

Dr. Hernandez is CEO of the San Francisco Foundation. She is a graduate of Yale University, Tufts School of Medicine, and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. Before becoming the Foundation's CEO, she served as director of public health for the City and County of San Francisco. She is an assistant professor at UCSF School of Medicine and maintains a practice at San Francisco General Hospital in the AIDS clinic. She serves on the boards of numerous organizations devoted to health-related issues and is a former member of President Clinton's Advisory Commission on Consumer Protection and Quality in the Healthcare Industry.
