Mr. S. Truett Cathy

S. Truett Cathy launched an empire when he opened his first restaurant in 1946. Today, Chick-Fil-A is a major fast-food chain, but it serves more than sandwiches. It also provides scholarships, foster homes, and community services through its WinShape Centre Foundation. Society has recognized Cathy's contributions by giving him the Norman Vincent Peale Award, the Horatio Alger Award, and the Family First Ambassador Award. These and many other honors commemorate Cathy's commitment to his company's motto: "To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-Fil-A."
