Mr. Richard Bloch

Richard Bloch is the cofounder of H&R Block, the Cancer Hotline, and the R.A. Bloch Cancer Foundation. A two-time cancer survivor, Bloch has devoted himself to helping others with cancer. At age 16, he entered the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and upon graduating he launched the tax preparation giant that now serves over 21 million customers in 11 countries. He later founded the R.A. Bloch Cancer Center at the University of Missouri, which has helped many patients conquer their illness and inspired 125 similar centers. In 1994, he received the American Society of Clinical Oncology's Public Service Award for his contributions to society.
