Mr. Kevin Johnson

Kevin Johnson is a former NBA All-Star and a humanitarian. He co-founded St. HOPE, a nonprofit community development corporation based in his hometown of Sacramento. Johnson, a native of the Oak Park neighborhood of California's capitol, founded St. Hope in 1989 to revitalize his inner-city community through education, business, and the arts. In 2003, he established St. Hope Public Schools, which serves nearly 2,500 students through its two charter schools. Johnson's alma mater was also reopened as a charter school, which serves about 1,500 students. He is now giving generously of his time and money to re-energize New York's Choir Academy of Harlem. His commitment to education leads him to undertake numerous public speaking for corporations, schools, and community organizations.
