Mr. Jon M. Huntsman

Huntsman has left a lasting mark on Utah and the nation as both a businessman and philanthropist. After growing up poor, he worked his way through college, graduating from the Wharton School of Business. Then it was on to a position with the Nixon administration and a job with Dow Chemical, before starting the Huntsman Chemical Corp in 1982. He's used his financial success to support higher education and found the Huntsman Cancer Institute, dedicated to finding a cure for cancer based on genetic research. A devoted member of the LDS Church, Huntsman is author of Winners Never Cheat, which conveys moral lessons drawn from his life's experience. He is a 1996 Caring Award recipient.
