Honorable John B. Anderson

John B. Anderson has been in public service since obtaining a JD from the University of Illinois and an LLM from Harvard. From 1952 to 1955, he was an economic reporting officer with the federal government. Between 1961 and 1981, he served 10 consecutive terms as Illinois House representative, and in 1969 he became chairman of the Republican Conference. In 1980, he got six million votes while running as an independent against Ronald Reagan. More recently he was chair of the Center for Voting and Democracy and president of the World Federalist Association. He is now a visiting professor of political science at several universities, including Stanford and Brandeis.
