Mr. Daniel J. Edelman

Daniel J. Edelman is equally well known as the founder of the world's largest public relations firm and as a philanthropist. A native New Yorker, Edelman completed an MA in journalism at Columbia, before earning several medals for service in World War II. Since starting his firm in 1952, he has received numerous professional honors, including induction into the Chicago Business Hall of Fame and a Gold Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America. Edelman's community service encompasses violence prevention, autism advocacy, and hospice. His firm reflects this concern for others by working to prevent AIDS, assist victims of 9/11, and promote giving in the business community.
