Honorable Dale Bumpers

Dale Bumpers has devoted his life to serving the people of the state of Arkansas. After graduating from the University of Arkansas and Northwestern School of Law, he started practicing law in his hometown of Charleston, Arkansas, and then worked as Charleston city attorney between 1952 and 1970. Following that he served as a special justice in the Arkansas Supreme Court, state governor, and state senator, a position he held for 24 years. During his long tenure in office, he was well known for his dedication to child immunization, education, and land conservation, as well as farming and agricultural research.
