Cokie Roberts is a political commentator for ABC News and a senior news analyst for National Public Radio. From 1996 to 2002, she and Sam Donaldson co-anchored the weekly ABC interview program This Week. In her more than 30 years in broadcasting, she has won countless awards, including two Emmys. She uses her influential voice to highlight the government's vital role in implementing legislation to improve women's health care. As a breast cancer survivor, she speaks publicly about dealing with the illness and the health care system from the perspective of a patient, a caregiver, and a consumer.
