Bernie S. Siegel, M.D.

Dr. Siegel is a retired surgeon and advocate for those facing the challenges of chronic illness. In 1978, he founded Exceptional Cancer Patients based on his philosophy of mind-body medicine. He is the author of numerous bestselling videos, articles, and books, including his groundbreaking Love, Medicine & Miracles. He graduated from Cornell University Medical College and received his surgical training at Yale New Haven Hospital and the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Today, he runs programs and workshops for cancer victims and health care professionals based on the concept of loving, safe therapeutic confrontation or "carefrontation."
