Ms. Betty D. Pope

Betty Pope is well known for her humanitarian efforts in her home state of Georgia. Georgia Southwestern State University and the Rosalyn Carter Institute for Caregiving have benefited from her generous support. In 1995, she and her late husband created the Pope Fellowship/Scholarship program to promote better understanding of the caregiver's role and encourage continued educational development among professional and family caregivers. In 1996, she funded the construction of a regional office for the Methodist Home for Children & Youth. She also serves on the boards of Magnolia Manor, supports Habitat for Humanity, and is involved with the Fuller Center for Housing.
